Kuhbar in Gevelsberg

As a Münchner-Madl, who is used to ice cream parlors like "the crazy ice cream maker", the cow bar was a real pleasure. I love it when there is more than just classic vanilla, chocolate and stracciatella and the flavors change depending on the week! (Nothing against chocolate, but a little variety doesn't harm the palate.) I always like to go there and try my hand at the range. The fact that many varieties are gluten-free is an added bonus and the service is always friendly, despite the difficult times this year. The names are an added bonus. Creativity and cuisine: one with asterisk.

Unfriendly service. No spoons in the ice cream ??? should we eat with our fingers ??? ice cream tastes like water !!!

Location: main street, outdoor seating accordingly, price claim: SMALL spaghetti ice cream 5! Euro, normal size more expensive, taste spaghetti ice cream is out of proportion to the price, we didn't like it and we often eat spaghetti ice cream at different ice cream parlors, of many ice cream parlors so far only 2 offered first-class taste / quality, here at the Kuhbar If the ice cream was too greasy for us, it didn't really taste like vanilla but rather artificial, although, according to my information, only natural substances are used at the cow bar. The vanilla ice cream tasted like it was in the grocery store freezer. The strawberry sauce was too little and not enough. It was also not fruity enough (I don't mean the sweetness). We would like the owners to try their ice cream again and improve it if necessary. All four family members were of the same opinion! Thank you for your answer: honestly, we spaghetti ice cream fans cannot understand that you like it. Unfortunately, the ice stayed longer in our stomachs. We cannot judge why that is. Of course we don't name our top Spahghetti ice cream parlors, because we don't want to scare away customers, but rather encourage you to reconsider the recipe when you get the chance .....

Very tasty ice cream. The portions with waffle "bowls" are very hearty - especially offers like the cookie ice cream. You can sit outside quite well. However, the service staff could be friendlier!

Wednesday, 08/11/20 at 7:45 p.m. I come to the Kuhbar as an allergy sufferer with my mouth and nose protection. The saleswoman behind the Plexiglas pane works without a face mask, of course, because, in contrast to me, she stands behind the pane ... but when the second waitress in the shop comes up to me twice without a face mask, I dare to pull my own from my nose during I place my order in order to close my nose at 30 degrees and due to allergies. I was denied the service with the words, what your colleague did, doesn't matter ... I left the shop and will not enter it again! Then I went to Schwelm, everything was great! 👍

Three stars, because I find it irresponsible to work without gloves, especially in Corona times. They are just lying there ... It is collected, prepared, the waffles and waffle bowls touched ... I had drawn the girls' attention to it, but nobody cared.

Good location, easy to reach and nicely decorated. The ice cream tastes good, but also better than many other ice cream parlors in Gevelsberg, but there are even better ones. Ice cream / milk shakes are relatively expensive (portions are good though) and are felt to be increasing after each winter. Furthermore, often very busy and waiting time despite three operations often quite long. Staff are always very friendly and endeavored!
